When Stability Matters More Than Speed

When the world feels unstable, design either absorbs stress — or amplifies it.
The world is loud right now. People are panic-buying toilet paper, prices are spiking overnight, and our daily movements feel policed. Basic routines feel incredibly fragile. Systems that once felt completely invisible are suddenly failing everywhere around us—from global supply chains to public trust and social norms. Living through this has sharpened something profound for us in the studio. When external environments completely destabilize, design either acts to absorb that stress, or it amplifies it.
At this stage in development, MyHerculead is finally beginning to behave like a true system instead of a mere collection of individual parts. Because of this, tension no longer cascades down the line, motion no longer compounds chaotically, and a sudden human correction no longer escalates the ambient chaos of a walk. We are no longer out here solving isolated mechanical problems. We are stabilizing behavior. And in fundamentally unstable times, that distinction matters more than ever.
