When the World Slows, Systems Still Matter

Progress doesn’t always look like physical building. During this period, the development phase of MyHerculead is shifting away from raw parts and moving directly toward analyzing system behavior.
Mapping Interacting Forces
Instead of simply asking whether individual components work in isolation, we are starting to map out exactly how different forces interact across the entire lead. We have to understand the entire physics engine of a walk before we can safely manage it.
Right now, our analysis is focusing on three key mechanical zones: Where tension originally originates along the line Where physical instability compounds across multiple points Where human correction inadvertently escalates risk instead of minimizing it
Dismantling the Escalation Chain
Our primary focus has moved completely from solving surface-level symptoms to systematically dismantling these escalation chains inside the mechanism itself. If a dog lunges, the system shouldn't force the human to over-correct and lose balance; the hardware needs to absorb and redirect that initial energy spike.
What emerges from this kind of design work isn't speed or immediate breakthroughs. It’s predictability. In safety-critical design, predictability is the only metric that equals true progress.
