The Difference Between Ready and Finished
Building something properly means knowing the difference between finished and ready. For The Hartful Company™, preparation, testing and patience matter more than rushing toward a launch date.
Testing Isn’t About Proof — It’s About Trust
A single successful test cycle is statistically irrelevant. Evan breaks down why true safety systems require exhaustive, multi-axis stress testing to move past emotional confidence and achieve actual engineering predictability.
Why We Won’t Rush This
True safety equipment cannot be built on an arbitrary timeline. Elysia reflects on why rushing development only trades present patience for future panic, and why intentional hardware iteration requires time.
Reliability in a World That Isn’t
In November 2020, as COVID disrupts daily life, The Hartful Company focuses on reliability, failure-state testing, and safety-driven design while developing MyHerculead.
Designing for Failure, Not Success
Why MyHerculead focuses on failure-state design instead of perfect conditions — and how COVID reshaped our approach to safety, recovery, and system behavior in multi-dog walking.
Designing Inside a Stalled World
How MyHerculead development shifts from building parts to engineering behavior during COVID — focusing on predictability, stability, and safety-first system design.
When the World Slows, Systems Still Matter
How MyHerculead development shifts from building parts to engineering behavior during COVID — focusing on predictability, stability, and safety-first system design.
Almost Six Years In — And Still Building on Purpose
After nearly six years and 38+ iterations, MyHerculead focuses on stability, load behavior, and safety-critical dog walking design — not shortcuts.
